And it is so satisfying

We can begin unfolding into softness and pleasure in subtle ways. Like stepping closer and closer to a waterfall. Pausing to feel the cool mist on our face before letting the water rush over our head. A gentle awareness to our rhythms - breath, sensation, impulse, movement.

.

We may start by noticing the cues from our body when it expresses a need. And noticing our response to that expressed bodily need.

.

Notice when our body expresses Im thirsty. Im hungry. I need to rest. I don’t feel safe here. He doesn’t satisfy me.

.

Pause here. What does the need FEEL like. What is the felt sensation in the body. Where is it felt. How deeply does it go. How widely does it spread. How much access is there to felt sense at all.

.

Then pause again. Notice any impulse to ignore, numb, stifle, minimize, or push through. Release all shame. Suspend all judgement. Dis identity from the story. Just notice.

.

Then fulfill the need to the deepest degree that feels possible in that moment. And notice our body respond.

.

Each time noticing with more depth, more love, more curiosity. Each time fulfilling the need deeper and more readily.

.

This is called devotion. And it is so satisfying.
